NY Arts program prospective candidates must demonstrate:
  • a commitment to overall education as well as creative and professional goals
  • an ability to live and work in a collaborative environment
  • curiosity and openness to new ideas and experiences

Academic Requirements:

Undergraduates:  Students must meet the off-campus study approval guidelines set by their colleges and obtain their academic advisor’s permission to apply to NYAP.   Most students attend NYAP in their junior or senior years, however students who meet NYAP standards will be considered.  Letters of Reference from two faculty members and copy a of the college transcript are required.

Post-Bacs: NYAP considers applicants who have graduated no more than two years from the semester of their proposed attendance.  Students must supply an official copy of their college transcript.

Application Deadlines:

Fall Semester:  March 1
Spring Semester: October 15

*Applications received by October 15/March 1 are given priority.  Applications received after those deadlines are reviewed by the NY Arts Program on a rolling basis according to space availability.
